Generally, in several other grades, chromium has always exceeded nickel in terms of its percentage composition, but in the present alloy, the amount of nickel exceeds that of chromium, by occupying around 23-28% of the total chemical composition.

This makes nickel the most predominant additive as opposed to chromium and this chemical modification affects the physical and chemical properties the pipes display, with the hardness increasing due to nickel.
