The work-hardens of the alloy is quick. The alloy is needed to work at slow speeds and low feed rates. Usually, the alloy is used in applications that are in highly corrosive conditions. K500 is the first age hardenable nickel alloy. The huntington alloys are developing a new kind of Monel alloy by adding other elements to its chemistry for its increased strength. K500 increased properties by adding aluminum and titanium to the nickel-copper base alloy. It is going to heat under controlled conditions. It has thermal processing used to effect precipitation, usually known as age hardening or aging.
