The heat treatment makes this Monel K500 sheet harder. Cold working and machining become extremely difficult after being hardened. These sheets function outstanding at cryogenic temperatures as well as extremely high temperatures. As a result, the alloy is appropriate for higher temperature, highly corrosive conditions.
