The SS 310 coils are austenitic in nature and heavily alloyed. High temperatures of up to 1150°C in continuous usage and 1035°C in intermittent service are possible with the SS 310S coils. The carbon percentage of SS UNS S31008 coils is lower than that of SS 310 coils, which helps to reduce embrittlement and makes them less sensitive during service. Because of the chromium and nickel content, they are ideally suited to environments with high Sulphur H2S. The non-magnetic SS 310S coils are appropriate for cryogenic applications. The SS 310S coils are fabricated at temperatures ranging from 975°C to 1175°C and then annealed to remove any stress from the forging process. All conventional welding procedures can be used to weld SS UNS S31008 coils due to their great weldability. Because SS 310S coils contain less carbon, they can be used in a wide range of applications. They’re utilized to make tube hangers for the petroleum refining industry.
