Resistance to Corrosion: Titanium’s grades corrosion resistance comes from a strongly adherent, stable, protective oxide film, which forms in the presence of oxygen. Titanium Grade 2 presents best resistance to seawater and marine atmospheric corrosion. Corrosion resistance is same between the four C.P. grades, but mechanical properties vary with varying oxygen and iron contents. Grade 2 titanium is resistant to attack from moist chlorides and metallic chlorides, chlorite and hypochlorite solutions, nitric and chromic acids, organic acids, and numerous gaseous industrial usages.

Features of the Titanium gr.2 Flanges:  Some of the features are like resistance to attack by acids and alkalis, as well as their high mechanical power and good ductility, providing resistance to the two of the reducing and oxidizing environments, also with those that contain chlorides, like chloride production.
