What is mean by Groove & Tongue Flanges?
Grooved flanges mean that in the flange, the one with the raised face is called a tongue, and the other end is called a groove. The benefit of these flanges is self-aligning and acts as a reservoir for the adhesive. It is a method of similar interlocking objects and is mainly used with wood, parquet, siding and similar constructions. The male and female faces of the flange must be equal. This is mainly used in plumber tool companies, construction companies and many more.
There are two kinds of standards of this product, namely the small tongue-and-groove flange and the large tongue-and-groove flange. It is not necessary to bolt specific flanged faces such as tongue and groove. This is due to the non-overlapping mating surfaces and the lack of a seal that has one type on one edge and another type on the other. Typically these flanges are recommended to be used in low pressured yet non-critical applications in order to attach different Groove & Tongue components such as the Groove flange adapter.
