Ti-6AL-4V refers to its chemical composition of almost 90% titanium, 6 % Aluminium, 4 % Vanadium, 0.25 percent iron, and 0.2 percent oxygen. It possesses high strength, low modulus of elasticity, strong corrosion-resistance, good weldability, and is heat treatable. The inclusion of Aluminium and vanadium enhances the hardness of the material in the alloy matrix, increasing its physical and mechanical characteristics.
