 Incoloy 825 Plates have a high molybdenum concentration, which makes them resistant to pitting. Incoloy 825 Plates should be chilled in the air or as quickly as possible after forging. Oil and gas well pipe and nuclear fuel reprocessing both use Nickel Alloy 825 Plates. Hot wrought sections of Incoloy UNS N08825 Plates have good resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in neutral chloride media, but not being totally resistant to stress-corrosion cracking in boiling magnesium chloride. Because of its many great characteristics, Incoloy 825 plates are highly regarded. It has high mechanical strength, tensile strength, ductility, long-lastingness, durability, anti-corrosiveness, machinability, formability, and weldability, and can tolerate high heat and large loads. It is an excellent choice due to its resistance to general corrosion, pitting, oxidation, stress corrosion cracking, and crevice corrosion. Pressure vessel operating temperatures of up to 525°C have been permitted for Inconel 825 plate. Brittle phases can occur at temperatures exceeding 540°C, hence it’s normally avoided at temperatures when creep-rupture properties are important.
