Functioning of SS 347/347H Forged Fittings:
SS 347 Forged Fittings are obtained with excellent tensile strength with cold hardened material. These fittings are used in the connection of pipe fittings at variable pressure and temperature ranges. Higher pressures cause stress at the connection that is sustained by these fittings. At elevated temperatures, these forged fittings are protected from cracking, and they resist heat corrosion.
Higher carbon addition makes SS 347H Forged Fittings stronger and tougher to bear heavy loads in piping systems. It also enhances workability in the carbide precipitation temperature range. It allows superior oxidation resistance and reduces creep rupture. Lower temperatures are also allowed to apply on these fittings with excellent toughness.
Why use SS 347/347H Forged Fittings:
SS 347/347H Forged Fittings are available with a wide range of specifications. These are suitably applied in many high-temperature applications such as boilers. It is highly tensile and long-lasting in extreme conditions. Atmospheric changes, dust, temperatures and other effects are unable to corrode these fittings with excellent material and surface finish. They are capable of fighting against pitting, rusting and oxidization effects. These fittings strongly defy reduction in acidic environments and chlorides, sulfates etc. With excellent aqueous corrosion resistance, they are used in marine equipments. Thus many chemical processing selects these fittings for warm surroundings.
