Composition and function of Ring Type Joint Flanges?
Ring Type Joint Flanges contains a metal ring that perfectly fits in the hexagonal groove as a gasket that seals two kinds of the flange. Then Bolts are squeezed to condense the gasket into a groove that tends metal to metal seal. These flanges are raised face-type flanges where the face of the flange is machined to form a groove.
