What is a Reducing Tee?

A Reducing Tee Standard is a type of fitting where two horizontal pipes can be attached with one vertical pipe. Reducing tee is also a one type of pipe tee used in pipe and tube fittings. Pipe Tees are available in two popular forms—have all outlets of the same size, or  they are with a combination of different outlet sizes is called as reducing tee.

Like all pipe tees reducing tee is also in the T shape with two ends of equal size and the third one slightly smaller. In another word, reducing tee is a one type of pipe fitting in which size of ports of the run is larger than branch port size.
